The worst has officially happened. Todd Palin has left his job in the BP oil industry. What will they ever do without him? The AP reports that "Todd Palin earned nearly $34,472 working part-time last year for BP in Prudhoe Bay and about $51,679 in the family's commercial fishing business, according to state financial disclosures. He also had $5,600 in snowmobile race winnings and an undisclosed discount on snowmobiles from racing sponsor Arctic Cat."
I guess with Sarah Palin's new book out, Papa Palin can stay home with his wife. With occasional speaking trips to Japan, they should still be able to afford spending $500,000 on clothing at the drop of a hat. Just not on the dime of the GOP.

No offense, I love being the devil's advocate, and I am neither democrat and or republican and I too get annoyed with Sarah Palin, BUT, I would be interested to know how much the Obama's spend on clothes, or other amounts that other politicians spend on frivolous things. I hate politicians in general, and I just do not think its fair to just point this out in Palin.
ReplyDeletehmm.. that should be a big income cut for the family ! I dont know much about Sarah Palin nor how successful she is, however I know I would not want my husband staying at home while I'm pressured to provide for the family.
ReplyDeleteI love how you comment on Todd Palin's new house-husband stauts. Doesn't seem too smart of a move to quit your day job when your wife just resigned from her governorship. If the Palin family is depending on Sarah's Japanese appearances, looks to me like they'll be in some trouble soon. Guess they'll just have to save up until 2012...she can't stay out of the spotlight for long!
ReplyDeleteGood point, Cheyenne. I recently heard that Michelle Obama has 26 personal attendants. No other first lady has ever even had close to this amount. The annual cost to taxpayers for such attention is $1,750,000 without taking into account the expense of the lavish benefit packages each attendant recieves. The amount Palin spent on clothing is nothing compared to this!
ReplyDeleteOkay this is crazyy!! But I guess if she has the money, i say go for it.
ReplyDeleteHaha, funny thing was it was GOP donation money, not Palin's money.
ReplyDeleteHmm the blog is clearly about Sarah Palin not the Obamas'. The whole point of the blog is about Palins' finding a new source of income since both of them are now unemployed. You cannot compare the two because there are very few similarities between the two. The Palins' are living life as many Americans living pay check to pay check or appearance to book publishing.
ReplyDeleteWell I'll talk about something everyone else hasn't yet... I think it is cool that he won that much money from snowmobile racing last year. Trust me, if my wife was bringing home the big bucks,as Sarah is pretty much doing, I too would quit my job and just race snowmobiles. This seems to be a very well thought out move on his part.

That was very humorous Gary.
